8 UNILORITES win UK Firm’s remote work internship
Eight students of the University of Ilorin have been offered internship opportunities by the Lassod Inc. UK. The opportunity is an initiative of the African Support Bureau for Entrepreneurship Speaker (ASBE).
This is contained in a statement signed by the Director of the Technical and Entrepreneurship Centre (TEC), Prof. Usman Adebimpe Raheem, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN BULLETIN.
Prof. Raheem who is also a former Chairman of the UNILORIN Branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), stated that the selection of the beneficiaries was sequel to a rigorous screening exercise they went through as designed by the company.
According to the statement, the successful students are Nzurike Chinyere Chinwedu, Department of Home Economics and Food Science; Araromi Bolanle Oluwadarasimi, Department of Physiotherapy; Dosunmu Elizabeth Morenikeji, Department of Marketing; Adewumi Temilade Oluwakemi, Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages; and Yunus Jamiu Mohammed, Department of Primary Education Studies. Others are Ohiofufu Faith Efe, Department of Agriculture; Obi Daniel Nelson, Department of Geology and Mineral Sciences; and Salahudeen Azeezat Oluwanifemi, Department of Home Economics and Food Science.
Prof. Raheem explained that 30 students of the University from various Faculties made it to the final stage out of which only eight were successful.
The Director commended the Chief Executive Officer of Lassod Inc. UK, and Founder of Oyoyo Apps Events, Mr Lanre Sanni, for the privilege granted the students.
