Egbewole cares for all staff, says Adi

A Deputy Registrar at the University of Ilorin,  Mrs. Hajarat Azumi Adi, has applauded the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, for ensuring remarkable improvement in the welfare of staff of the University, particularly those in the Departmental segment.

Mrs. Adi,who is the Deputy Registrar in-charge of Departmental Staff, gave this commendation recently while speaking on Oro to n lo, a current affairs programme of UNILORIN 89.3 FM, the official radio station of the University of Ilorin. The programme was anchored by the Head of the Station, Mr Idris Akintola Ibrahim(Alooma).

Mrs Adi enumerated the numerous interventions of the Vice Chancellor, which impacted positively on the welfare package of the staff, particularly as it affected non-regular staff of the University otherwise called Departmental staff.

The seasoned administrator noted that the Departmental staff numbering 448 enjoyed a salary increase as some of them were also granted one award or the other at the recent 2023 Merit Awards/Luncheon during the just concluded convocation ceremonies of the University.

The Deputy Registrar also disclosed plans by the University Management to consider some of the Departmental Staff for permanent employment in the University as soon as the Federal Government lifts embargo on employment.

Mrs Adi encouraged concerned staff members to continue to endure the current situation by showing more dedication to their duties as he assured that their labour would not be in vain.
