Egbewole charges UNILOMGA to nudge Alumni body to action

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has expressed optimism that the passion and commitment of the Unilorin Muslim Graduates Association (UNILOMGA) will serve as a catalyst that will ignite similar fervour within the university’s alumni association.

Prof. Egbewole made this observation penultimate Monday (May 13, 2024) during a meeting with the newly appointed executive committee members of UNILOMGA, who visited him in his office.

While acknowledging the vital role that alumni play in the university communities all over the world, the Vice Chancellor explained the importance of organised alumni bodies as he expressed confidence that the proactive stance of UNILOMGA will inspire a resurgence of purpose within the broader alumni association.

He, however, said that he has a high expectation for what the Unilorin Muslim Graduates Association can contribute to the university. “From my interactions with some members of the Executive Committee, it is evident that you bring substantial experience and insight. I believe our university stands to gain significantly from their contributions.”

Expressing gratitude for their dedication to their alma mater, the Vice Chancellor congratulated the newly elected executive members of UNILOMGA and urged them to build upon the achievements of their predecessors.
