Egbewole to unveil UNILORIN @ 50 billboard  

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, will next Monday (January 13, 2025) unveil a billboard to herald the upcoming golden jubilee celebration of the University.

The billboard, which would be followed by several others that would be mounted within and outside the University campus, would be erected on the University Main Road to stimulate the consciousness of members of the University community and visitors to the institution about the preparedness of the management for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the existence and remarkable contributions of the University to human capital development

This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Anniversary Committee, Prof. Olugbenga Mokuolu, in his recent conversations with members of the Committee.

Prof. Mokuolu explained that the event would be held at the Staff Quarters Junction near the University Main Gate, where the billboard is mounted.

Speaking on other issues, Prof. Mokuolu said that the Vice Chancellor was delighted with the level of progress achieved by the Committee so far.

He also expressed the gratitude of the Vice Chancellor to members of the Committee for their relentless efforts targeted at making the anniversary a very memorable one.

Prof. Mokuolu also said that the Vice Chancellor hinted him that he would henceforth be tracking the activities of the Committee based on the time line he presented to him.

The Anniversary Committee Chairman, therefore, implored the various Sub-committees and every other member to take their responsibilities more seriously as he assured them of his readiness and that of the University Administration to offer necessary support.

Responding, members of the Committee thanked the Chairman for his unrelenting efforts and for always updating them on his discussion with the Vice Chancellor.

The Committee members assured Prof. Mokuolu of their commitment to  the success of the assignment.
