UNILORIN values moral integrity, says Alfanla

The Registrar of the University of Ilorin, Mr Mansur Alfanla, FCIML, has emphasised the importance of adhering to the University Dress Code, saying that the institution values moral integrity.

Mr Alfanla stated this last Thursday (January 16, 2025) while fielding questions on a special interview programme on UNILORIN FM 89.3.

The Registrar, who is also the Chairman of the University Dress Code Committee, noted that students are expected to dress well and exhibit excellent character, warning that violators would face penalties.

Mr Alfanla commended UNILORIN FM for its advocacy efforts and reiterated the University’s zero-tolerance policy on extortion. He encouraged students and staff to report any instance of extortion to the authorities.

Speaking on the upcoming 50th anniversary celebrations of the University, Mr Alfanla described the event as a celebration of academic excellence. He announced that awards would be given to distinguished individuals during the anniversary celebration.

The Registrar further revealed that the celebrations have officially begun with the unveiling of the anniversary logo by the Vice Chancellor last Monday (January 13, 2025).

Mr Alfanla confirmed that the anniversary celebrations would be a year-long event, with main activities scheduled to take place between November 23 and 28, 2025.
