Egbewole condoles with Olowolafe on wife’s death

The death has been announced of Mrs Gbemisola Olutayo Olowolafe, wife of Dr Tunji Olowolafe, one of the great pillars of support of the University of Ilorin.

The sad event occured last Tuesday (March 11, 2025) after a short illness. She was aged 64.

The bereaved husband, Dr Olowolafe, in a statement, described his late wife as “a woman of grace, compassion, and steadfast faith, who dedicated her life to uplifting those around her”, adding that “her warmth, kindness, and quiet generosity touched countless lives, and her legacy of service and love will endure for generations to come.”

In a condolence message, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, prayed God to comfort Dr Olowolafe and the entire family.

 “I pray that God gives you the fortitude to bear this great and irreplaceable loss. I also pray that God gives her a peaceful repose,” Prof. Egbewole said, adding that  “the entire Unilorin commiserates with you on this great loss.”
