A Principal Information Officer and Social Media Coordinator of the University of Ilorin, Mr Lukman Temitope Omoniyi, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Best Corporate Share of Voice (Social Media)’ category of the second edition of the National Spokesperson
Awards (NSAwards).
The award, organised by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in partnership with the Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), publishers of PRNigeria and Spokespersons’ Digest, is reserved for outstanding public relations professionals in Nigeria. It is also the key highlight of the National Spokespersons Summit, jointly hosted by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
In a letter addressed to the Corporate Communication specialist dated Tuesday, April 8, 2025, and signed by the Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Awards, Mr Segun Mcmedal, the organisers of the event said that the award ceremony would hold on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Abuja Continental Hotel.
Mr Mcmedal stated in the letter, “On behalf of the Adjudication Committee of the National Spokespersons Awards (NSAwards), I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected as a finalist in the Best Corporate Share of Voice (Social Media) category.”
While congratulating Mr Omoniyi, the Chairman noted that his “nomination as a finalist is based on the Jury’s assessment across several criteria, including campaign objectives, clarity of strategy, storyteling and narrative framing, audience engagement, and overall effectiveness”.
Mr Omoniyi is among the 62 finalists shortlisted for recognition across 21 competitive categories in the 2025 edition of the ‘National Spokespersons’ Awards’ (NSAwards), as announced by the Adjudication Committee led by Dr. Shuaibu Husseini. By highlighting the University’s dynamic campus life and academic achievements on social media, Mr Omoniyi has successfully connected the University with a broad audience, including students, staff, alumni, and friends of the institution.
