Olubunmi Abayomi Omotesho is a distinguished Professor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. With a solid academic foundation, he earned his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. from the University of Ibadan and achieved the rank of Professor in October 2000. His expertise and contributions to the field have earned him fellowships with both the Nigerian Association of Evaluators and the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists. In December 2022, Professor Omotesho was elected Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at the University of Ilorin. In this capacity, he oversees the university’s academic affairs, providing supervisory and oversight functions across a range of academic matters. As part of his role, he chairs several statutory and ad-hoc committees on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and takes on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Vice-Chancellor or the University Council. Professor Omotesho also serves as the acting Vice-Chancellor in the Vice-Chancellor’s absence, ensuring continuity in leadership and academic excellence.
