Prof. Abdulrasheed Abiodun Adeoye

Prof. AbdulRasheed Abiodun ADEOYE (formerly Rasheed Abiodun Musa) is a Professor of Performing Arts, Department of Performing and Film Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Nigeria.

He won the Senate award for the best graduating student and holds two Master degrees and a Ph.D. in
Theatre Arts (2007) from the University of Ilorin and Ibadan respectively.

He was a two-term Head of Department and the Dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Nigeria (2019 – 2021).

He served as the Chairman, Ceremonials Committee and Chairman, Library and Publications Committee. He is presently the Director of Academic Planning and also a Senate Representative on the Governing Council of University of Ilorin, Nigeria.

Prof. Adeoye’s research interest is on Theatre Directing, Playwriting, Performance and Cultural Studies. He propounded the Neo-alienation Style and Theatre.

He was appointed a full Professor in 2015 and he has taught full-time for almost three decades now.
