NIPOST seeks enhanced collaboration with UNILORIN

The leadership of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) in Kwara State has urged the University of Ilorin to increase its patronage of its products and services, particularly in the areas of courier services and transcript delivery.

At a meeting with the University Management last Tuesday (March 25, 2025), the State Postal Manager, Mr Josiah Gbenga Areo, said that the organisation is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in courier services. He expressed optimism that this assurance will further boost the confidence of the University in NIPOST’s capabilities.

In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, welcomed the call for collaboration while charging NIPOST on improved services with a focus on innovation and excellence.

Prof. Egbewole challenged NIPOST to step up its game and compete with private sector companies that are currently thriving in the courier services business. He also emphasised the need for NIPOST to reclaim its position as a leading player in the industry and to improve its turnaround time.

In a symbolic gesture, the State Postal Manager presented the Vice Chancellor with a copy of the Nigerian Postcodes Directory, which highlights NIPOST’s commitment to providing efficient and reliable services.
