Bio

Lieutenant Titilayo Folashade George holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, which she obtained in 2011.

She also obtained a Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Customer Relationship Management from the International Institute of Customer Relationship Management and a Strategic Management Course from the Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria.

Following her National Youth Service Corps in 2011, Titilayo proceeded to the Nigerian Navy College Onne, where she was subsequently commissioned as a Sub-Lieutenant into the Nigerian Navy on 20 March 2015, and currently serving as the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Navy.

Since her commission into the Nigerian Navy, the Officer has attended numerous academic and military courses, both domestically and internationally, commensurate with her rank. These include the Media Operations Officers’ Course, the Civil-Military Cooperation Operations Course, an Advanced Diploma Certificate Course in Journalism, and the Public Relations and Advertising course from the International Institute of Journalism. Additionally, she has completed the Public Relations, Information Management, and Crisis Communications course at the Centre for Crisis Communication in Abuja, as well as the Junior Staff Course at the South African Naval College, among others.

Lieutenant George, as an officer in the Nigerian Navy, has participated in and attended several strategic seminars and conferences on Public Relations. These include the Seminar on Effective Time Management for Peak Public Relations Performance and Aligning the Strategic Functions of Public Relations, Marketing, Customer Service and Sales for Optimal Bottom-Line Results, both held at the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations. Additionally, she attended the African Public Relations Association Zambia 2023 Conference, themed ‘Creative Africa: Exploring the PR Potential of Africa as an Emerging Economic and Reputation Powerhouse’.

As a military officer and Public Relations Officer, Lieutenant George drew upon her experience and knowledge to excel in her role. As a skilled Public Relations practitioner, planner, and organiser, she ensured that activities were meticulously planned and coordinated, thereby achieving the set objectives.

Lieutenant Titilayo Folashade George is a dedicated and committed officer, possessing excellent leadership qualities. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, dancing, and listening to music.
